When crisis forces families from their homes, the need for urgent support becomes immediate. In Somalia and across East Africa, displacement caused by drought, floods and other emergencies can leave families without shelter, food or basic household items. Alpha Trust’s emergency response work is focused on reaching vulnerable communities quickly with practical support that helps restore safety, stability and dignity.
Emergency relief is one of Alpha Trust’s five core project areas, alongside water, health, education and Ramadan support. Our work responds to both natural disasters and man-made emergencies, including drought, floods, terror attacks and displacement. By staying connected to communities and running regular programmes in hard-to-reach areas, Alpha Trust is able to respond where the need is most urgent and the impact is most deeply felt.
